Goddess of Speed
They call her the Goddess of Speed. Once, she graced the hoods of distinctive Packard automobiles. Werner Gubitz designed this ornament, patent applied for on March 13, 1937, issued June 1, 1937. Her wings are back as if in flight, arms outstretched, as she holds a disc, symbolic of a tire. Her chrome gleams on the hood of the Packard, gathering attention wherever she goes.
